Sustainability
Background Information
Sustainability has become a buzzword - you can hardly open a magazine without ideas for green living. But at UC Merced, sustainability is more than just spin. Our campus represents perhaps the greenest university experience available in the United States today, because all our buildings are LEED Silver certified or higher. These facilities provide a living laboratory for students and professors interested in sustainability and create and atmosphere of commitment to living lightly on the land.
The professors listed here can comment on global climate change, energy, agriculture, water resources, ecology, air and water pollution, land use choices and other important sustainability-related topics.
